Racing cyclists are not typically the target of pushbike.nz. However, all cycling is celebrated and elite and weekend warrior racing cyclists are an important part of the lobby for safer cycling for all.

The Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge is a regular photo gig for me, and my preferred activity on the last weekend of November each year, compared to actually pushing on the pedals myself.

Using slow shutterspeeds, and usually panning with the moving cyclists creates some interesting effects instead of the more regular frozen images.
